About Sugar Valley Golf Club

Sugar Valley Golf Club, originally founded in 1968 as a semi private golf course, was built by Carl M. Foreman and a group of investors. The golf course architect was Geoffrey S. Cornish, known for having planned more courses in the New England states than any other architect in history and having also designed and remodeled layouts throughout North America and Europe.

In the 1980s, the golf course had a redraw by nationally and internationally renowned golf course architects Jack Kidwell and Mike Hurdzan.

While various partners came in and out of the business over the years, Mr. Foreman and his family remained primary owners until the year 2010. In 2010, the name was changed to Sugar Valley Golf Club to more accurately convey the club’s core business. In 2011, significant investments were made to the course and facility and, in 2012, a set of senior tees were installed.

Since the change in ownership in 2010, the club has seen significant growth of membership. Today, Sugar Valley maintains its original mission of being available one day a week for corporate and charitable golf outings, as well functioning as the Dayton region’s premier event location and private golf and social club.

Nestled back in the countryside, Sugar Valley Golf Club offers members and guests a beautifully maintained challenging course that is 6,467 tree lined yards from the back tees and a casual, friendly atmosphere.

In 2018, Sugar Valley opened a new Clubhouse that features State of the Art Golf Simulators, indoor and outdoor dining, a wonderfully equipped fitness room, and a 200 guest banquet hall that is quite stunning.
